From 10am – 3pm on Saturday 17th May, Sharlston Parish Council is holding its annual Open Day at the Community Centre on Weeland Road, next to St. Luke’s Church.
As well as stalls, plants and flowers,, coffee and cake and children’s games, we will be consulting Sharlston residents on what you want to see happen in the village, particularly around Christmas activities and other events throughout the year.
We’ll also be consulting about the future use of two plots of land we own on The Heathers and between Clifton Road and Weeland Road (the old library site). Maps of the plots will be available to view.
At 10.30am, Noon and 1.30pm, there will be a short presentation to explain
- The current situation with the Community Centre
- How we came to own the land on the Heathers
- How we came to own the land on Clifton Road
- Some of the options that have been suggested for their use
- And then open uo for discussion / opinions
Survey forms will be available for Christmas activities & other events, and for the use of the land.
Please do call in!
