Issues Raised by the Public at our March Meeting

Four members of the public attended our public section before the main meeting

Issues raised included the inappropriate disposal of dog waste bags on Brickyard Lane which the Parish Council agreed to raise awareness of.
There was a query about parking at Sharlston Dam which the Clerk agreed to resolve.
Information was shared about the Parish Council’s new mobile speed device, the rationale for its purchase and how it would be demonstrated/used. Concerns were raised about speeding on Middle Lane / The Green and it was agreed to re-start the conversation with Wakefield’s Highways Team about this ‘hot spot’.
Concerns were also shared with the Parish Council about the hedge and new fence at the allotments and information shared about future plans.
Concerns had been shared before the meeting about potholes, litter after rugby matches and items related to a forthcoming inspection of the rugby club. These would be followed up after the meeting.
